The Friends is a nonprofit organization formed to benefit the Longmont Senior Center by increasing awareness through outreach and building a giving environment in the community to support senior citizens. Our fundraising activities impact programs, services, and resources in direct and indirect support of the Longmont Senior Center.
The funds raised also support service and activities that would otherwise not be possible. Donor support helps us provide immediate operational funds, long-term strategic funding for service and program expansion as well as longer-term capital projects to address increasing demand and projected future needs.
Since our incorporation in 1981, we have supported investments that materially affect daily operations, as well as positively impacting the wellbeing, safety, and sense of community for participating seniors. Additionally, over the years, we made significant investments that expanded the capacity to service the increasing numbers of seniors coming to the Longmont Senior Center.
